Beatriz Piderit Moreno

Beatriz Piderit is an Architect and teaches in the department of design and theory of architecture in The University of the Bio-Bio. She is also a researcher for FONDECYT and INNOVA projects and director of the Master´s program in sustainable habitat and energy efficiency (MHSEE). Her field of specialty is sustainable design and energy efficiency with application to architectural design and natural lighting. She has a PhD on «Art de Bâtir et Urbanisme» and a Msc in applied sciences by the Catholic University of Lovaine (Belgium). She is currently working on two FONDECYT research projects on thetopic of energy efficiency and sustainable architecture. Besides, she has been taking charge of monitoring natural lighting and evaluating lighting comfort in public facilities, as well as in proposing new standards in this area.

Arquitecta, docente del Departamento de Diseño y Teoría de la Arquitectura e investigadora Fondecyt e Innova. Su principal formación se ubica en el diseño sustentable y la eficiencia energética aplicada al diseño arquitectónico y la iluminación natural. Posee grado de Doctor en «Art de Bâtir et Urbanisme» y Magíster en Ciencias Aplicadas a la Arquitectura bioclimática. En cuanto al área de eficiencia energética y arquitectura sostenible, se encuentra ejecutando dos proyectos Fondecyt. Así mismo, ha desarrollado protocolos de monitorización de las condiciones de iluminación aplicado a edificios públicos, evaluaciones de confort lumínico y estandarizaciones aplicadas a esta área.
